Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators came into being during the West Nile outbreak in 2002. We treat and release approximately 200 orphaned and injured animals and birds of prey each year, AND WITH YOUR HELP WE CAN DO EVEN MORE!

We hold the only federal permit for treating migratory birds and raptors (hawks and owls) in the area. We get calls from Bartholomew and six surrounding counties.

<<< - This is the Cub Scout troop at the Hope Moravian Church. Dr. Newcomb and the boys are dissecting sterilized owl pellets.

Dr. Newcomb (above) and Kathy Hershey (right) both have extensive experience in treating exotic and wild species. Dr. Newcomb is a graduate of Purdue and did a wildlife internship at C.R.O.W. Wildlife center in Fla. Kathy is a vet tech and a medical technologist and did wildlife rehabilitation as a hospital keeper for the Indianapolis Zoo.

We have a strong interest in education, and have

developed curricula for all age groups in a number of areas.

Call us to speak to your class or group!
